Book recommendations based on your kids’ favorite TV Shows

Arthur fans should try Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney
If you have a fan of the show Arthur, time to introduce them to Greg Heffley. The fun illustrations will keep Arthur fans interested. Both worlds talk about learning lessons. Chances are, if your kids love this sweet cartoon on PBS, they’ll love Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Word Girl fans should try Matilda by Roald Dahl
Wooord Up! When I say that you know what i’m Talking about. WorldGirl is a smart and fun show on PBS about a girl named Becky and her Monkey, Huggy, going on adventures. A similar piece of literature is Matilda. Believe me, your kids will love comparing both the storyline of the book and WorldGirl.

Sesame Street fans should try the complete adventures of Curious George by Margaret and H.A. Rey
Time to pair a classic with a classic. Kids are claiming Sesame Street as their favorite show. Chances are, if Kids love Sesame Street, they’ll love Curious George. Both worlds share similar themes like science, Math, and engineering.

Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Fans should try Olivia by Ian Falconer
Try to add Olivia to your Daniel Tiger fan’s bookshelf. Both characters share wonderful storylines. Seriously, Daniel and Olivia are pretty much kin to each other

Horrid Henry fans should try Wonder by R.J. Palicio
Horrid Henry is one of my favorite shows right now. In fact, I’d try Wonder. Both worlds share the spirit of boyhood.

Barney & Friends fans should try the Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss
Have you ever heard of Barney the singing purple dinosaur? You’ll want to read fans the Cat in the Hat. It’s about two kids staying inside on a rainy day but unexpectedly get entertained by a Cat

Yo Gabba Gabba fans should try the Gathering by Maddie Fretz
Do you have a kid obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba? Although there are many books out there about DJ Lance and the gang, I prefer a little subsequently at adding to their library. It’s time to pick up a copy of the Gathering. Chances are, if your kid loves Yo Gabba Gabba, they’ll love Baby Einstein. But Baby Einstein wasn’t always a company,  and The Gathering will tell the true story, quickly becoming a favorite among the whole family

Dora the Explorer fans should try Smile by Raina Telgemier
Dora the Explorer is such an adorable show! I think Smile is an obvious choice here. If your kids love Dora, they’ll love Smile. Girl power? Yes!

Baby einstein fans should try Finding Winnie: the Story of the world’s most famous bear by Lindsey Mattick
I think I’ve grown an obsession with Baby einstein and its compitators Brainy Baby, Baby Genius, and Baby First. While there are many books about the Baby Einstein puppets, I prefer a little more things. It’s time to take their love of all things Walt and pick up a copy of Finding Winnie: the Stort of the World’s most famous bear. Chances are, if your kids love Baby einstein, they’ll love Winnie the Pooh. But Winnie wasn’t always a Disney cartoon, and Finding Winnie will tell the real story.

FETCH! With Ruff Ruffman fans should try Big Nate and Friends by Lincoln Pierce
Time to pair a classic with a classic. Thanks to reboots and reruns, kids are now claiming FETCH! as their favorite show. In fact, it’s time to meet Nate. Both worlds talk about humor and other funny things. Big Nate is Friends with teenagers, just like Ruff talks with Teenagers in every episode of Fetch

Super Why fans should try Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K Rowling
I’m sure you knew this book was coming up. Your kids may have the Sorcerer’s Stone on their bookshelf, if your kids love Super Why, they’ll love Harry Potter. Think Rowling’s wizarding world, both storybook village and Hogwarts share similar themes

Paw Patrol fans should try Fireman Small by Wong Herbert Yee
Who out here has a toddler who loves Paw Patrol? Skip all the Paw Patrol books and go with  Fireman Small instead. Fireman Small has the same themes as Paw Patrol.

SpongeBob Squarepants fans should try Ocean Commotion by Giles Andrae
Almost every kid I know is obsessed with that famous sponge. It’s time to lend them a copy of Ocean Commition! I bet this book has the same themes
